On Sunday, March 18, 2018, Dr. Lou was invited to fill the pulpit at the Sanctuary Fellowship Church of Kissimmee, Florida. This dynamic local church is pastored by Kimani Smith who has been friends with Dr. Lou Petrie for almost 20 years. They first met at Kimani’s father’s church in Brooklyn, NY. By God’s grace, Dr. Lou and Kimani’s father the Rev. Mullery (Willy) John Pierre became fast friends and entered a mentoring relationship which has produced lasting fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven.
While Dr. Lou was preaching in Florida, Kimani and his wife Datnee were at Beraca Baptist Church in Brooklyn NY being ordained by Pastor Willie. What a privilege it has been to see Kimani grow as a man of God and see him be so powerfully used in the ministry.
During Dr. Lou’s time at Sanctuary, he called forth the congregation to come and hold up this young couple in prayer before the throne of grace at the very time Kimani was being ordained to the Gospel ministry. Dr. Lou challenged the congregation to be Shaped by Biblical values from 2Timothy 4:1-8. Pray for the new Reverend Kimani Smith as he leads the people of God at Sanctuary Fellowship.
