Dr. Lou Petrie was invited to preach on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the River of Life Church pastored by Rev. Charles Whitaker. The church is located in Marlow Heights, Maryland near Washington, DC. This vibrant African American congregation has purchased a new property which will provide a new facility for reaching the community for Christ. The building, when finished will house a public charter school with 500 students as well as a daycare ministry which will serve a great many families who need this important service. Charles Whitaker has a great vision for his local church. Pray for God to be exalted in the community for His glory. Pastor Whitaker has ministered to this congregation for almost 20 years. Being a real estate agent he knows firsthand the challenges of finding property and then securing a loan. Pastor Charles was effusive in his commending of the Converge Cornerstone Fund staff in helping to facilitate the loan.
